GD F-16A Falcon 1-72 Revell kit H-222-3800-A.

Finished 19Dec1979 as USAF F-16A AF07516. A very nice kit to build, but I got the colours wrong  :-[ so it turned out a Whiff. The scheme in the instructions threw me ........ LOTS! >:D One of the few model aircraft I've ever built deliberately with wheels up. I still haven't done the tow tractor, engine trolley & PW-100 turbo fan that also comes in the kit.
Maybe this scheme is representative of an early in service bird and the scheme is akin to the "Air Superiority Blue" worn by early F-15s. I think it looks fine like this though.  8)

I really like your F-16, FAAMAN. The colors are almost hypnotic. I'd say you got them right...just right!

"Accuracy" be damned. I bet there's more than one retired Airman with a Polaroid that's pretty close to this.

You know, the funny part is I've probably seen many of these builds several times at your folks' place back in the early 80's but I'll be buggered if I can remember them! :-\

Nice scheme, mate! Looks better than the real one. :))

Thankyou for the comments, although initially not happy with it when finished it's kinda grown on me over the ensuing years.

Just what builds do you remember from my parents' home Guy? You've seen my complete Gallery over on the ATF, maybe I should make a post here? :)
