Title: 1947 Air Scene

May, 1947

After the failed Allied invasion of the mainland in June 1944, the war dragged on and each side put into service new and better weapons.
Jet aircraft were replacing older piston models and had new dimensions to the war.
Although the new jet combat aircraft had increased performances over their piston antecessors, they lack endurance and range; to overcome this, aerial refueling became even more important, and new and bigger aircraft were converted to this role.
Only with the help of aerial refueling could the Allies continue to mount incursions deeper and deeper into Nazi occupied Europe.
In this scene we see some RAF aircraft (Gloster Goshawks attack aircraft and escorting Supermarine Shrikes) refueling from Avro York KC.MKIV, before entering enemy held airspace.

Makes sense...
... the Shrikes look interesting but they are pretty small in the scene. Do you you have any bigger version of it?
