There's a whole bunch of 1/72's that look interesting  -- Stirling Glider Tug for one, 20 foot Sea-Cans for another.

I think that RF-84F must be a re-release, I've built one of those years ago.

I'm pretty sure the RF-84F is a re-issue.  The MB.339 is the old Supermodels mold and a welcome re-issue.

Just looked at the 'big book', it's one of the very first kits Italeri (then called Italaerei) produced - kit #108.  Later kit # 1108 which is the one I have.  And I've got one of those Supermodels MB.339's too ---

Michael Benolkin has provided images of the 1:35th scale Italeri M923 'Hillbilly' Gun Truck (kit number 6513)

Click on html or thumbnail to view.

Pretty much the same plain vanilla M923 that was released a few years ago with a new sprue to "gun-truck-ize" it and improve sales.  M900 series have pretty much been superceded by the FMTV series of vehicles with the hard top and COE configuration but can still be found in large numbers with various State National Guard and Reserve units.  The cattle bar bumper is rather interesting and certainly gives the M923 a different appearance.  Maybe Italeri can market the truck next as a vehicle for the coming Zombie Apocalypse?  This is the second gun truck themed kit from Italeri.  The previous gun truck kit released by Italeri last year was the M977 HEMTT (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck) Gun Truck (kit number 6510) with an extra parts sprue containing the "gun-truck-ized" parts.

The Stirling glider tug would make it very easy to do other "disarmed" versions, such as:

An AEW one with this kit : http://www.lonewulfmodels.co.uk/view_product.php?c_id=21&sc_id=51&p_id=3130

A post-war MPA version with belly radar and a MAD boom

A wartime/early post-war SAR version with an air-dropped lifeboat

The reissue of the LCVP with thirty figures is certainly going to keep someone busy working on all of those faces :)

Yes indeed: it'd probably take a couple of tins of green...... ;)

Looks like it could be good.

Wonder if they'll do one with British/Canadian infantry? ???

Not many LCVPs were used at Normandy.  Most of the assault waves came ashore in LCAs.  I'd have rather seen them do an LCA actually but I suspect it wouldn't have gone down as well in the US market.

Interesting aside story, the steel fabrication shop I did my apprenticeship at, had the job of making thousands of rudders with the control shaft for landing craft during the war --- They were one of the first shops to get electric arc welders too, got given them by the government.

It's a rebox of their existing LCVP from 2005, the 'new moulds' are for the GIs. The estimate of LCVPs
used at Normandy is somewhere between 800 and 1100, so I suppose one could say that's not many.

1/48 H-21 Announced for 2015. I guess my Aurora and Special Hobby kits will find their way to a vendor table now. Italeri's helicopters are generally pretty decent (at least, compared to their 35th armour).

Will probably get one to do up in Red/White/Blue RCAF SAR / DEW line duty.

Italeri 1:35th PT Boat Conversion Kit (number 05617) - First Look by Michael BenolkinClick on html or thumbnail to view.
This looks nice for armour whiffery!! :-*

I have acquired two of those since I posted that link.  Yes, there are a number of nice items included.  I especially like the two versions of radar masts and the 20mm Oerlikon.  Just wish it would have been the later light weight mount instead of the original and very heavy mount used on the early ElCo boats.  My only complaint is that the price for this kit is quite high and if you can find it for less than the MSRP you should take advantage of that lower price.

This one has kind of flown under the radar but looks interesting:
http://www.italeri.com/scheda.asp?idProdotto=2489&idCategoria=3&idSottocategoria=21
Sherman M4A3E8…. Looks like a new suspension and turret added to the older M4A3. While I always like the Italeri Sherman kits, the A3 was kind so-so. Given that Dragon, Academy, Tasca/Asuka and Tamiya have all released E8s in recent years,  I'm not sure if another iteration is necessary but hey, why the heck not?
