kombinierter Tragfläche und Rumpf) - similar to their earlier G.38 transport could be created. Accordingly, the Junkers team created their G.K.52-3M [1] concept - later to be assigned the RLM designation Ju 352-110.
Luftwaffe planners described the G.K.52-3M/Ju 352-110 as a
Zweisitziges dreimotoriges Langstrecken-Begleit-Zerstörer-Jagdflugzeug mit gemischtem Flügelkörper für eine nahtlose Flügel-Rumpf-Verbindung. [2]
The prototype is shown here (or the right) after a third vertical tail surface was adopted to address some stability issues. Performance test-flying with the Ju 352-110 V1 prototype was done at Rechlin. Manoeuvrability was gauged as being equal to that of the Ju 52/3m while the Ju 352-110 was
at least as fast as some of the primary trainers of its day. Debate continue to this day as to why this highly promising 'überflugzeug' was never produced in quantity.
