Beautiful pieces, both of them. The Dagger picture gives quite the feeling of a low-level high-speed pass.

Yes, that was the idea. In fact, this art is based in a real situation that happened in Malvinas war.

To be honest this is the first time that I heard this kind suggestion (concerning to the Do 335). But it can really work. I'll only have to study it. :)

Nice. Probably, because it's front is rounded like it.
I'll check it also applied in others german aircrafts such as BF 110, Stuka, .... (I only remember those for now - laughs).

You might want to check out F-100's, too; ISTR seeing at least one with a shark's mouth on the inlet.

Concerning to the question of being more or less difficult to portray high speed or not, for me is equal.
The main point is not only the object to be illustrated but which impression you want to give to the final scene.
Each situation (propeller, jet, rocket,...) has it's own specifics, problems.
