Oh-kay ... Let's hope I don't disappoint! :-\

There's not going to be much in the way of mod's (if any) to the vehicle, it's more a "paint scheme" whif.

The big challenge is that I have two M1296 Dragoon ICV's, an M1130 TACP/CV, three M1126 ICVs (although I think they should be called APCs - one with CROWS-J mounted) & one M1132 ESV (with mine plow) to build, paint in the same scheme & display as a combat team.

I'm tossing up whether to use Land Rovers or Humvees as the light vehicle element, or, maybe, Jackals & Coyotes. I may even pop in a few LAV-IIIs and/or ASLAVs.

As I said, a big challenge, which will probably go over two or three years (if I'm lucky).

Sounds like a cool project. Can't wait to see them all. Are they all going on a huge diorama base?

Yup, that's the general idea. :-X

Here's the force (minus repeats) if I use Land Rovers (my preferred choice) & Jackals/Coyotes;

Lots of cool vehicles. It will definitely be an impressive display. Weren't there Land Rovers in the movie Occupation? Maybe do an alien invasion similar to the movie with the Australian forces fighting back.

Thanks! :smiley:

I have no idea, re: "Occupation", I've not seen the movie.

No alien invasions in my Alt Universe ... Illegal Aliens, maybe, but not the sci fi variety. ;)

Occupation is an Australian sci fi alien invasion movie. I was bored one day and watched it. Not that great of a movie but there are worse movies but even so, you aren't missing much.

Looking forward to this developing.

Naturally, my vote goes for the Jackal, Coyote and Land Rover combo…  :smiley:

One Landy & one Jackal just found their way into my online shopping basket. :icon_meditation:

These;

The US RSOV version has the Mk.19 GL as an alternative to the .50cal, & I think can swap out the driver's position without too much difficulty (famous last works, etc.)

I already have 3 of the WMIKs with .50cals. ;)

PS: I've just been out to the Wombat Stash (Shed Sub-Stash), where all the Land Rovers are, & discovered that I have a RSOV Landy with a .50cal that I had forgotten about, too. :-[

A-and, time for some basic photo's!

I've finished the basic hull work &, although there are a whole bunch of bits still to add, this is where I'm pausing the hull for now & moving on to the turret.

Anyway, enough waffle! It's pic's time:

Basic photo's of a basic way-point but I figured it was appropriate. :smiley:

Have discovered a rather embarrassing error in the kit - The styrene jacket that fits around the centre section of the gun barrel is 2mm too short! Either that or the barrel is 2mm too long!  :o

Anyway half-fixed, just waiting for the Apoxy Sculpt to cure then I'll tidy it off - the whitish section just behind the fume extractor is where I've fixed the problem.

Goodly woodly!

When we (RAF Regt) were still using WIMK and Jackal they carried a mix of .50 Cal and Mk 19 GL (see pics) - as far as I can remember, all our Coyotes only ever carried .50 Cals…

Have built the RSOv as an OOB build, pretty happy with the result, so you will blitz it in.

Those racks on the side of Strykers always make me think of marston mat planks. This is moving along nicely. Carry on!

Moving forward steadily, if not rapidly;

Not everything is glued on (actually, a lot of it isn't glued on) because "Paint" ;) ;

Completely unnecessary but fun "accuratising" addition;

Looking good! I will have to correct the lack of Strykers in my stash.
