Saw a Pucara model the other day.. got me wondering about a 2-seat A-10 with turbo props mounted over the wing & above the existing wheel sponsons,  turbofan delete, and maybe the T-tail.

That could be doable...

Quick (no T-tail) and dirty (note prop and GIB/WSO position -  :P) mod of my turbo-propped A-10 (first page of this thread). I think a T-tail would probably look better than the normal A-10 tail on this one.

Has a bit of the Pucará about it, even more-so if you give it a T-tail. ;)

In 1/72 use the vertical fin from a 1/48 A-10 kit and mod the tail?  I think I'd go more for a cruciform tail than a T-tail, but that's this engineer's design preferences.

I actually prefer the standard A-10 tail here.  Gives it a quasi-He219 look

A-10 ideas go here! >:(

First up, how about a turbopropped A-10?

A-10-Turbo-Full-2 by Motschke, on Flickr

The engine pods are from an An-32, slightly modified and out of scale. I just looked for something that kinda looked like what I imagined it should.

Inspired by ChernayaAkula's great design, I wondered about a boom tail A-10...

This modeler grossly overdid the weathering on their A-10. It looks ridiculous! You'd never see a plane this dirty in the real world:

LOL yep. That one is being used. Live weapons are live. Double sidewinders, and bombs on the small side... I'm guessing Syria.

No time for "hog wash" apparently... Ill get my coat

Interesting choice that the grey colouring continues to the topside of the wings. The wing edges did sometimes have Medium Green splotches over the OD base, but Neutral Grey I don't remember seeing except on the bottom, was there an actual scheme like this on a plane/Squadron/Group? (The Jug units especially in Europe seem to have had a multitude of alternate schemes, some even using RAF colours, so wouldn't be out of place at all - I'm just curious.)

Interesting article of what the A-10 could have looked like:  https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/13329/early-on-the-a-10-warthogs-legendary-gun-was-both-a-blessing-and-a-curse

Could be interesting to model up an operational one just to confuse people especially when you pull out the real world photos.
