Folks,

In the case of any written entries (i.e. stories/alternate histories etc) please just provide the title and a link to the story along with at most a brief summary.

Regards,

Greg

Some quick ones from me:

Forget about his bow and arrows- why wait until that sparrow has done his deed when I can just bury him right now 'cause I'm sick and tired of hearing why he wants to have his way with the cock robin!?

I hadn't really decided to enter the GB... but I got to writing, it sorta went nuclear and participation seems to work.

With the moderator's permission I will just add a link to my contribution rather than cross-post.

If this is unacceptable, please just delete the thread.

Here's my entry for the Anything Goes GB. It starts with whif schemes on Avro Canada's 1956 submission to the US Navy's TS-140 requirement for a Mach 2 'Visual Fighter'. From there, the RW is abandoned almost entirely. What if Avro Canada's Advanced Projects Group had continued work, using its TS-140 submission as a spring-off point for other VTOL approaches?

There's no 'Build Thread' for my Avro Canada VTOL entry for the Anything Goes GB. It's more of a 'musing through the variants' thread. Links to individual projects are listed below. It ends with the ejector thrust C.124, a whif take on John Frost's 1959 P-450 concept.

With an hour and a half to spare!

What if the USAF decided to use surplus SC-1s postwar the same as they used PBYs?  Figured they could be useful for inshore work and training purposes.

The BuNo. was taken from a batch of canceled SC-1s numbering close to 100.
