Arado Secret Projects
« on: January 16, 2012, 04:05:38 PM »
Hi to all.
Great to be here.
I thought I should make a start and get some of my profiles up.

Some here will find them familiar, but if they prove useful to anyone as reference or a source of ideas, then I''ll be delighted.

Many thanks
P

Beautiful! I've never seen the Ar Projekt 1 before. She's gorgeous (although I wonder how they planned to get around FOD!).

No worse than a 262 or the proposed P60A...or the modern 737.

Proj 1 is a beauty, I commission built 3 in 1/144th, actually 2 and one for me.

Thanks Russ. I think she's a looker too.

But isn't the paired intakes for Projekt 1 directly in line with the nose wheel? Not trying to be a JMN here, just curious.

You are right...the engine intakes are behind the nose wheel and therefore likely to injest hurtful stuff.
It seems there are quite a few German projects designs that followed suit, which is a good reason they didn't receive further development.
And I, not being any aircraft engineer or of any kind for that matter, simply draw them up as per the schematics.

But a beauty nonetheless.

In fact I'm working on the single seat all-weather fighter version as we speak...or type.
Will post when ready.

Many thanks
P :)

Well done. Arado had some unique "tailless" designs. Like the second( newest )example- almost a flanker scheme.
