Thanks friends!
I'm working on about a thousand little details then flat coat. Then tires, guns and antennas.
I've been thinking about a base for this build. I do have a container of dirt from the middle east. No one can say its not the right color. I'll have to figure out how to apply some as weathering dust and make it stick.

Nearly finished! Just a few more detail parts to go.
I've been doing a little weathering with a soft pencil in typical wear spots. I rubbed some pencil lead on a spot on the desk and rubbed my finger in it. Then I rubbed lead on various spots on the model. It gives a nice worn look.

A few more greeblies and fiddly bits to go. I made a quick punch list and the most difficult part will be the weatherstripping around the windows. I already have a piece of half round painted. Maybe tonight. I’m thinking about where to hang a tow cable. But that’s the wreckers job so maybe not.
I just thought of this. I could say the weathering powder is from Saudi Arabia and see how many people start scratching their heads.

Here's a look at the trailer.

I removed the wheels and axle for painting. No way would I be able to mask around that.

There will be a spare tire and jerry cans on the front.
A few more bits on the slammer to go.

Thanks!
I think I’ll paint it just field green. It’s supposed to be another asset made out of leftovers from the depot so it really should be several different colors. I’m just not that ambitious.

Just awesome work.

I would be very surprised if this was at a show, the amount of double takes and.. "wait, what?" looks would be a  high count.

Thanks everyone!
My club's show will be in October and it will be there! It's nice that I can show there is a story behind it. NIMCOM show is in June and it better be done by then!

I added some chains and the tailgate to the trailer tonight. Time to go to bed before I screw something up.

The trailer is ready for paint! I added the hitch ring and a kick stand. I think I'm going to paint the wheel rims black. I see that all the time on OIF vehicles and anything painted sand.

And for the really good news!

I actually finished something in time for a GB!!!!!!!!!  On to the pics!!

This is one I've been meaning to build for a long time and I'm super glad I finally did it. It's going to look great on the shelf and I'm waiting to take it to a couple of shows and see what happens.

You certainly have a gift for creating excellent models no matter what obstacles get in your way of progress.
