The 1:1 scale VW in ambush camouflage is interesting.

Moritz do you have any idea what vehicle this is supposed to be in this thumbnail image (click for larger image):

(http://u.jimdo.com/www62/o/s29957a859468dd72/img/ic718f3cc20338728/1396169781/thumb/image.jpg) (http://u.jimdo.com/www62/o/s29957a859468dd72/img/ic718f3cc20338728/1396169781/std/image.jpg)

The inscription on the plaque says SdKfZ 140 and it looks similar to one of the E-series panzers or a hotrod Hetzer which is about all I can recognize on the thing.  Would be nice to know more about it as it is certainly different and not even sure if it is a What-If at this point.  Zooming in on the image in the above link I get the impression that the circular object on the rear of the hull is perhaps the gun mount for a weapon but it sure looks odd.

From the look of it is the 38T Flakpanzer as a stripped down wreck.

I came to that conclusion eventually too but without the armor around the gun mount and all of the other missing parts it was kind of hard to see though the missing items and realize what it really was.  That gun mount is what really threw me off track as I had never seen that before without a gun mounted on it or the inside of the vehicle in question.

Right off the bat I'd also have no clue as to what that is, apart from being based on the Panzer 38(t) running gear, but since the base also says "FlaKpanzer 38(t)" and "Sd.Kfz 140" it seems buzzbomb is right.

SdKfZ 140 = Flakpanzer 38(t).  Or to be more accurate, officially named Flakpanzer 38(t) auf Selbstfahrlafette 38(t) Ausf M (SdKfz 140) by the German forces during the war.  Thuis one obviously is meant to depict an example stripped down and abandoned.

Gotta love how versatile the 38t was, can't believe how many different configurations they actually got into service but then there are all the prototypes and concepts as well.  Great looking model too.

Mission: Create a versatile AFV basis.
Step 1
Get a Engine, transmission and running gear combination that works, is proven and easy to maintain.
Step 2
plonk stuff on it that can be carried by Step 1
Step 3
Don't meddle with Step 1
