The book's buried in boxes at the moment, but Allan Dean Foster's Icerigger has a similar vessel on its cover.

I always liked these anti-grav flyers from the Rogue Trooper strip in 2000AD as per my previous post. Had another look today, and noticed that there were a lot more scans from the relevant episodes on the web, so I've put together this montage. Hopefully I'll build one of these at some point.

(Note: 2000AD probably own the copyright on all these images and I'm using them for comment, not personal gain).

Always liked it. Artwork for the bookcover of "Dancer of the Sixth" by Michelle Shirey Crean, ISTR '92 or '93

This looks buildable:

From here: http://www.scifiartist.com/blog/2009/04/new-space-ship-concept-art/

Also, some great designs here from a Russian artist called KaranaK: http://www.ufunk.net/en/design/spaceship-design-concepts/

Just a few examples:

Some Corsairish police vehicle from a Japanese TV show known in France as San Ku Kaï (1979). ;D
It also appeared in a very bad clone of the Star Wars movie made in 1978, don't remember the name...

Vaguely reminds me of Message From Space.

A military robot from Risk: Legacy.

I like this idea of a mecha designed to the theme of an army that has a large conscript or volunteer pool, but the pilot and gunners are way too exposed.
Forget about his bow and arrows- why wait until that sparrow has done his deed when I can just bury him right now 'cause I'm sick and tired of hearing why he wants to have his way with the cock robin!?

There would have to be a hole in the floor of the gunners stations to let the barf out after swinging around in there for a while!

The gunners on each side don't seem to have floors.  Damn, even with a flood of available conscripts, you'd think training costs would make them take better care of their people assets.
