Sell advertising space on military aircraft as income to reduce total operating costs.  Such a deal !

Yes, until the company sues the air force for loss of reputation when a jet with their logo on it is filmed dropping a bomb on a hospital instead of a headquarters.

On the other hand, imagine a world where the mercenary business was totally legal and above-board. You might get jets proudly painted up with trade marks of Executive Outcomes or Blackwater International.

Carefully drafted language (fine print) would be necessary to exempt military from such lawsuits.  Mishaps of war like that and friendly fire mistakes happen.  Signing up to advertise has its P.R. risks.  Doing this type advertising is at the option of a company as are other business decisions.

Have you read "The Profession" by Steven Pressfield? It has a very interesting take on PMC/Mercenaries.

You know that Blackwater did have their own aircraft?  If you now look up "EP Aviation" you will see some of them.  It is all fairly boring though...

... another very dangerous fault was found. Switching on the heating system could lead to the main gun firing the round in the gun. This problem was caused by the fact that some systems shared the same electrical circuits. This problem never led to any accidents. In a sarcastic headline, Swiss tabloid Blick commented: "The Panzer 68 is much more dangerous than it seems!"

Here is something from a local modeler. I met / influenced / converted him the via the mutual friend/owner of this FlickR website and with whom we both interact with.

Chris' Italeri/Hobbycraft 1/72nd "wiffer" - Super Arrow : Shout Out to Carl!  Chris has gone over to the Dark Side. Lord Sith Carl is using the force.

And how!

This model is other worldly, literally. In Chris' words:

I saw this thing a while back on the internets - a guy did a 3D model of an up-to-date arrow and called it the super arrow. To my eye it looked like a YF-23 with arrow wings. I've attached one of the pictures of his plans. Since then the original 3D modeler has gone on to refine the shape of his super arrow so its different now (and would be somewhat difficult to do now).

I thought to myself - I wonder if I can do this on an actual model? Turns out that the arrow wings will fit onto the YF-23 fuselage with a bit of work, styrene and filler. I had to measure and align everything very carefully before the cuts in order to have a decent chance to get this thing to look right once it was together. I was lucky to make some very clean cuts in the YF-23 fuselage and boxed it in with styrene. There are two brass rods that were used to create a strong bond with the arrow wings.

This is my what-if and it goes out to Carl. I used Canuck Models Arrow decals and they worked well without any solutions. The paint is straight tamiya white primer that was sanded.

Neat idea, but thinking as an engineer (I'm not one BTW), the strain on the wing when on the ground and fully loaded  -----

well let's put it this way, I wouldn't put my main gear way out there on the wingtips.

Looks like outriggers out on the wings. Main gear looks B-47, B-52 style. Looks like a swept wing glider.
