Do you mean a F4U with turboprop? (that would be interesting...) :)

Not a Turbo-prop but half-way there.   ;)

But the turbo-prop is a great idea.

Looks rather like a Wyvern.

And would probably need a raised cockpit so the pilot could see anything over that engine.

Or a tricycle landing gear?

The reason the Corsair had cranked wings was to raise the engine centreline enough to swing the big prop without needing overly long landing gear.

With straight wings and regular Mustang gear legs, you're probably going to want to go with smaller diameter contra rotating props to provide enough room for them to swing. Just a thought.

Good catch Paul.

1. Yes. It will have a new smaller diameter prop. Won't reveal it just yet.
2. Larger vertical stabilizer to offset the torque of said prop.

Wing tip tanks reduced drag on T-33, will do same here and be looking cool. 8)
Like red & white scheme that works well for racing but underneath it wants to be Navy blue.

Looking good!
And with additional blades, the no-W-wing seems logical (no need of huge ground clearance)... :-*
