From the fine folks who brought us decent 1/72 kits of the Yak-36 "Freehand" and the Yak-141 "Freestyle", now comes something pretty cool: a 1/72 Ye-8 prototype!

HERE'S a pic of a built-up kit and HERE'S a pic of the plastic parts.

Gotta have one. Would look pretty cool in operational colours.
Cheers,
Moritz

I note that they also have a Faithless, MiG-23PD, among their other releases besides the Yak-36 and Yak-141.  There's lots of whiffing potential in that one, especially if the lift engines are removed.  I'm thinking of inlet-mounted canards similar to those on the Kfir as a starting place, possibly with reduced leading-edge sweep outer panels to allow tip-mounted IRAAMs.

Art Model has released a 1/72 Su-28, a simplified trainer and aerobatics version of the Su-25 twin-seaters. Scalemodels.ru has a thorough look at the parts. LINK Looks like the combat trainers aren't far behind. Actually, if you have another Frogfoot you can nick the pylons and ordnance from, the rest is already there.

A decent 1/72 Frogfoot!  :icon_surprised: Can it be true?
Hope they'll also do the single-seaters.  8)  I could use one or two... dozen.

Damn, 2013 is going to be expensive!  :icon_twisted:
Cheers,
Moritz
