remainings of the day : a mixture of Alouette helicopter and P-38
(the latter was an old childishly built kit, so it is a buit nastily punkish ;
I think this "composition" would deserve to be re-tried from clean new kits,
even in some larger scale, someday maybe ...)

Could totally see that as a real P-38 derived reconnaissance or "pathfinder" bird. :)

Beautiful!  It makes you think of a high-powered twin-engine ancestor of the Optica.

Oh yeah!!  I love the look of this. :)

I could see it as just one of a bunch of postwar conversions of aircraft into civilian applications.  Maybe give one a larger cabin/fuselage as a high speed transport.

:-* :-* :-* (I am in love of this blue beauty...)
I just notice the 2-blade propellers, is there an explanation about them somehow?

Clever combo of P-38 and helicopter parts.  Could be patrolling along boarders and pipelines and such.
Odd (if you will), but seems feasible.

thanks all ! I really appreciate your appreciation !

the two-blades propellers come from the fact that I had lost the original ones, and found a four-blade propeller in my scrap box  ;)

and then, a bit like the tail-sitting rear wheels, it makes for changes from he original P38

Sometime ago I showed in this thread a space shuttle with a P-61 fuselage, in blue :
here is the reverse, a twin boomed propeller shuttle, in red  :

My eyes and soul are loving this model! :-*
While my damned brains ask question, sorry:
- is it a space craft or an airplane? if one transforms into the other do the remaining parts fall down to Earth?
- is the load a satellite or simple cargo?
- is the rear of the shuttle a rocket engine? and does it burn the tailplane if fired on too early?
Answers are not obligatory, the model is wonderful even if pure fantasy... :-*

One day I stumbled upon this :

and liked it so I have a turn using a pair of 1/43 2cv's :

and only a bit too late I thought of the yin yang possibility :I might try and find a pair of Beetles after all someday ...

Very nice!
while... mechanically, how is it working? When the red component drives forward, should the yellow gear be set in reverse ("marche arrière" in French)?

I like this kind of chance meetings, so I had a try at it with a plastic gun, and wings from a Vigilante kit wreck :
