« Last post by elmayerle on Today at 12:16:33 PM »Went back and did further digging on the Avon-Sabre Firestreak testbed and a Firestreak-carrying Sabre dingo doesn't look that promising as the support equipment for the Firestreak eats up a lot of volume (that's why the testbed had the flight test instrumentation in a bulged fairing under the aircraft). Now I wonder if a radar swap out to allow the Sabre Dingo to carry one AIM-9B and one AIM-9C would work and would be worth it?

« Last post by elmayerle on Today at 12:05:58 PM »For your cruise missile, consider the engine in the JSSAM-ER, which I am given to uderstand is the same as was fitted to the AGM-137A/BGM-137B. That should give you a suitable and proven engine.

Pretty much finished.
The Falcon 9 logo, Dragon capsure are all home made decals using some source artwork. As is the US Flag. Really only needs the NASA on the second stage.
Pretty sure this does not represent any particular block of vehicle, but it gets the point across.
And a whole lot cheaper than any of the currently available commercial offerings.

« Last post by Buzzbomb on Today at 07:38:18 AM »My good friend Ian from Stargazer Models is a keen fan of all things space, so he started mastering up a Falcon 9 for himself.
I managed to talk him into (read bribe with a couple of pints ) getting a copy of his work.
Not much to it, the engine housing, landing legs, Mesh Control fins and the Dragon capsule and adaptor, all in old school resin except the fins which are resin printer. The rest is just plastic card/rod/strip.
Then find some 25mm pressure tubing for the rest of it.
Spacex on the rocket body is masking. Always good to have great mates and one has one of those Silhouette printers that can cut masks
