As my Twin-Mustang race car (and Moskalyev) models are very very slowly progressing, I was afraid to loose enthusiasm in model-making... :(
Then I took the opportunity of late-January bargain sells to buy a more simple model: Haseagawa Egg-MV-22 Osprey. My project was exchanging the fins and engines, into a pusher: PV-22 Ospregg... I received it this evening:

The smile of my son restored enthusiasm... "Daddy, may I build it with you?!", "yes, dear"...

I faced a centering problem with those rear engines, making the nose going up crushing the blades... I tried putty in the cockpit (because I plan to paint it, not letting it clear), but the weight was too small, and I have made another way, I will show you.

Thanks to all! The fun goal is achieved, now I am going to paint it, next weekend probably.

Here is the "secret": sprues pylons setting the right position, while invisible from the right angle...

It always makes me smile to see you post another father and son project, mon ami!
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree as they say and it's great to see you passing on your enthusiasm to the younger set!
Oh, and the Ospregg looks to be on the way to finishing up a real treat too!

I have to agree with Brian - it's great to see kids enjoying their parent's hobbies. Like the reversal of the engines and tailplane, too.

*chuckle* I probably should take exception to that since I work on the V-22. I will say that the new engine nacelle being proposed are somewhat more aesthetic than the present ones (that they will also greatly improve readiness is the real reason, but improved aesthetics don't hurt).

Yes, aesthetics is the key for me (I don't like machines otherwise), even if I have no personal talent in this field...

The engine is repaired, solidified (with sprues parts), and the paint work goes on...

As I strongly dislike nationalism, I usually throw decals to the garbage can, but... my 6 years-old son Jacky disagreed this time, and he used the egg-Osprey decals on drawings of his own (simply twin-boom like Daddy's)...
