That's a gorgeously done model.  I've got a few F-103s to build, in both 1/144 and 1/72 and I'll probably go with different missile fits based on the data from the hardcopy article that appeared in APR.

I should also note that I'm looking to model it's more conventional sibling, the Republic AP-75, using cloned aero-surfaces from the F-103 and bits from 1/72 and 1/48 F-105s.

Like James Bond's Aston-Martin DB5 in, I think it was, Goldfinger?  There've been a few times I've wanted to do that with my MiL.

Without clicking on the link, I suspected it was by a Russian modeler. The attention to detail is amazing.

Republic did propose recon and NASA testbed variants. 

I am toying with doing one of those along with possibly either a Canadian or West German one.

Would I be correct in presuming that the recon version put the recce gear in place of the missile bays?  It's the only location I can think of.

With a simple variable axi-symmetric nozzle instead of some of the fanciness proposed for the F-103.  Perhaps also give it a drooping nose in place of the periscope?

Would love  :-*  to have seen those taking off from McChord AFB as I did the F-102 and F-106.
